Aaron Payne

A native of Richmond, Virginia, Aaron Payne attended Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, obtaining his professional degree in 2015. He started his architectural career with IONIC in the Spring of 2016. While in college, Aaron became deeply convicted that architecture is all about finding a better setting for life, and he is passionately interested in doing that by closely observing, then responding to the constantly evolving economic and cultural changes that have occurred in the past twenty years.

Aaron has gained experience in various kinds of CAD software including Revit, Rhino 3D, 3ds Max, as well as other innovative modeling technologies, such as 3D printing and CNC milling. More important than simple head knowledge of how these tools work, he learned how to leverage their unique capabilities to make the process of architectural design and construction more efficient and enriching. Aaron is excited to take his first steps in the architectural profession with IONIC as he works toward his goal of becoming a Registered Architect.

8 year total, with Ionic DeZign Studios since 2015.
