As architects, we are honored to have been part of the transformation of Camp Community College’s new Nursing & Allied Health Professions Building. This project was not just about renovating a 13,000-square-foot structure—it was about creating a thoughtfully designed space to support the future of healthcare education in the region.

Our design approach centered on functionality, flexibility, and collaboration. We worked closely with the college’s leadership and nursing faculty to craft a space that mirrors real-world healthcare environments. From simulation labs that replicate hospital settings to versatile classrooms that support alternative teaching methods, every design choice was made with the goal of enhancing learning and preparing students for their careers.

Community was another major focus of this project. The building isn’t just a place for education; it’s a resource for the entire region. We designed spaces that can accommodate community health initiatives, partnerships with local school districts, and collaborative efforts with hospitals and healthcare providers.

The challenge of repurposing an existing building into a modern health professions training center required innovative thinking. By integrating natural light, maximizing usable space, and incorporating cutting-edge technology, we were able to breathe new life into the structure while ensuring it met the college’s current and future needs.

This project is a testament to what can be achieved through collaboration—bringing together educators, community leaders, and healthcare professionals to create a facility that will have a lasting impact. As architects, it’s incredibly fulfilling to know that our work will help shape the next generation of healthcare providers while serving as a hub for community growth and wellness.
