Jody’s Popcorn is a novelty store at the Virginia Beach oceanfront that sells popcorn, candy, treats and confections. Playing off the beach atmosphere of the oceanfront, IONIC used festive and colorful designs to create a lively floor plan. A rolling blue ceiling soffit creates a path of travel between the two distinct store spaces. On one side of the store, you’ll find a gigantic box of popcorn exploding with oversized popcorn kernels that are suspended in space. On the other side of the store, a life-sized surfer on a crashing wave explodes off the wall. Elaborate graphics depicting many Tidewater Area attractions and landmarks cover the store walls.

These exciting images represent the best of Virginia Beach and act as positive advertising. It is a treat for the eyes to walk through these spaces filled with wacky sculptures, bright colors and thrilling images. Whether you are looking for a beach adventure or boardwalk snack, you’re sure to find it at the Virginia Beach oceanfront!
