Providence Baptist Church’s new Phase 1 Fellowship Center expansion was a Design/Build partnership between Ionic DeZign Studios and general contractor J. H. Batten, Inc. Both firms are members of the National Association of Church Design Builders (NACDB), an organization dedicating to serving and educating the religious community.

To match the colonial style and brick facade of the existing building, special care was needed to meet the requirements of the fire code, without employing a sprinkler system. The client had an extensive wish list for the new building, and IONIC was able to meet those needs, and stay within budget. The new Fellowship Hall doubles the size of the church’s seating capacity for fellowship events, with better table and seating position. Key features include a new Commercial Kitchen, handicap accessible bathrooms and showers. A new entry Commons and covered Drop-off enhances access from the parking lot, and additional parking and landscaping complete the design.

Future Phases will include a Multi-purpose Outreach Center, and additional classrooms.
