William Henry Harris III

“Harry” Harris founded William Henry Harris & Associates (WHHA) in 1983 after working with other Virginia architectural firms for several years. With a focus on designing sacred spaces, he has served more than 300 churches in the central and Tidewater Virginia regions. In 2015, WHHA joined the IONIC family, where Harry works as the Director of Religious Architecture.

His design experience with church or church-related projects has included sanctuaries, educational buildings, fellowship halls, multi-purpose activity and Christian life centers, and youth/adult retreat centers. Early in his career, Harry received the Award of Merit from the Southern Baptist Convention for his work with Baptist Churches in Virginia. He soon developed his trademarked visioning process, the Master Plan Workshop, to help churches cast a vision of growth through inclusion and consensus building. He has been a featured speaker for church building seminars sponsored by the Presbytery of the James and the Baptist General Association of Virginia.

45 years total, with Ionic DeZign Studios since 2015.
