The IONIC team is based out of two physical locations in Virginia and has leaned into expanding our remote, off-site workforce. We have talented team members working in-office and remote, including internationally, and continue to expand our collaboration technologies and communication methods to ensure our culture is embraced, regardless of employee location. Senior Architect

Ionic DeZign Studios brings together a team of architects and designers, leaders and change-makers driven by passion and innovation. We approach every design problem with curiosity, invention and a generous spirit to uncover hidden opportunities.

We are searching for an experienced senior architect to oversee the company’s new construction projects. As the senior architect, you will mentor other Architects, interpret client briefs, and review contracts and designs.

The ideal candidate would have experience in one or more of the following project types, with particular emphasis in reproducing similar prototypes for multiple sites:

  • Quick Serve Restaurants
  • Car Washes
  • Retail and Shopping Centers
  • Hotels

Architectural Associate

Remote Possible

Full-time position. Expected job responsibilities may include as-built work, field investigation, coordination with consultants, research codes, permit applications, detailing and the creation of concepts and construction documents in Revit. Further continued development expectations are Contract Administration, preparation of proposals, assisting in development of IONIC standards, creation and delivery of presentations.

Architectural Drafter

Remote Possible

Full-time position beginning with AutoCAD work on Wendy’s and other restaurant projects primarily. Other architectural work will become available upon demonstrating mastery of construction documents related to the restaurant projects. Expected job responsibilities may come to include as-built work, field investigation, coordination with consultants, research codes, permit applications, detailing and the creation of concepts and construction documents in AutoCAD and Revit.

Digital Design Quality Controller

Remote

Full time position. The Digital Design Quality Controller plays a critical role in ensuring the excellence and compliance of our architectural design outputs. This position focuses on the meticulous review of progress sets and finished construction sets through digital platforms, ensuring each project meets IONIC’s high standards for content, accuracy, and thoroughness.

Fully remote, with the option to utilize office resources as needed. Flexible working hours, with coordination required to align with team schedules and project deadlines.
